Pre-Race Meeting Information

Note: Attendance at this meeting is mandatory!
Brock Pool, Saturday, June 26th, 2010 at 3 pm
3:00 pm Race package pick up and last minute bike check for out-of-towners (you must hand in a bike inspection slip and new a waiver to get your race package)
3:30 am Meeting for all participants- includes overview of the race and final information/rules.
3:45 am Group meetings- race coordinators will meet with each age group to show them the route and answer any questions.

Race Day Information

Tentative Race Day Events
6:45-7:00 am Triathletes arrive at Brock Pool (by 7:00 am at latest)
7:00-7:30 am Pre-race check in and body marking (of all athletes, no matter what time you start)
7:00-7:45 am Transition preparation
7:45 am Warm-up
8:00 am Swim heats begin for kids 5 - 7
9:00 am Swim heats for kids 8 & older
11:00am Approximate time last person finishes
11:15 am Approximate time for pizza lunch and ice cream
Swim heats will be posted at the pre-race meeting on Saturday June 26th
Parking
There will be limited parking in the parking lot- first come, first served. Note that the parking lot will be closed from 7:30am until 11 am approximately (end of race), so if you park there you must be prepared to stay there until the race ends. Do not park anywhere on the race route- you will be towed. This includes: Schreiner, Parkcrest, Crestline & Young. Parking is now allowed and encouraged on Fleetwood between Crestline and Schreiner as it is off the bike course. Please be respectful of our neighbors during this event!

How to Find Help
Most volunteers will be wearing reflective safety vests and/or some may be wearing volunteer shirts on race day. If you need help, ask a volunteer
Important: The routes and distances are the same as 2009
Race Maps
If you registered more than one child in your family, please make sure to look at the correct maps for each child. Maps will also be posted at the pre-race meeting.
The age of your child is their age as of December 31, 2010. (i.e. if your child is 9 but turns 10 before December 31, than you look at the 10 year old maps)

Ideally you should be familiar with road rules and proficient at basic bike skills (e.g. signs, signaling, stopping, cornering, riding in a straight line, and riding with other people/passing).
