Two times available per week: Thursday evenings 6pm & Saturday mornings 8am We will start out at Paul Lake and temperature permitting may move to Lac Le Jeune
For safety reasons and the ability to provide the best coaching these sessions are limited to 10 participants per session (there are 2 sessions booked per week, so 20 spots available each week). If there is additional interest I can create more sessions.
Cost: 6 Open Water sessions (100$ for all sessions, or 20$ per session) *Tri club members are eligible to register for all sessions for 90$ and/or 18$ per session *Train with a buddy program. Register with a buddy for all sessions and receive 25% off your cost.

Thursday June 10 & Sat June 12 Warming Up Technique & efficient swimming (How fast do I need to be, or can I become more efficient and conserve energy for the rest of the race)
Thursday June 17 & Sat June 19 Interval training in swimming- maximum improvement in fitness in a short period of time Race Start- land start vs. water start The first 5 minutes of your race (How to conserve energy in the first part of the race)
Thursday June 24 & Sat June 26 Sighting & weather challenges Swimming faster with less effort- technique work
Thursday July 1 (Canada Day) & July 3 Long distance day (fuel well for this session)
Thursday July 8 & July 10 Drafting The last few hundred meters of your race Transition tips and practice for triathletes
Monday July 12 BC Open Water Provincials @ Paul Lake 1500m and 3km Open Water event
There will be 2 wetsuit legal events: a 1.5km & 3km swim. Registration for this event available by the end of this week

Kamloops Spring Sprint Beginner Training Swim This 4 week program is designed for beginners that are comfortable in the water and would like to take the first steps towards learning front crawl. The sessions are geared for people that would like to train in preparation for the Kamloops Spring Sprint on May 8. (but all beginners are welcome.) 6 weeks in March and April March 25, April 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 Thursdays 6:00am at Canada Games Pool Cost is $70.00 Kamloops Triathlon club members $60.00 Entry to pool is included Contact Teresa Seibel at tseibel@shaw.ca to register. Bike This 5 week program is designed for the rider that would like an introduction to basic techniques used in a triathlon race. The sessions are geared for people that would like to train in preparation for the Kamloops Spring Sprint on May 8.
